Re: Topalov vs Anand Gmae 8
In fact, White should place the B in c5, Kh6, (forcing black to play Bd3 Ke8) the go with the Kf6, g4 f5 --> and black is in trouble. At least it is a plan that black should be careful.michiguel wrote:This is not over yet. Anand needs to solve g4 f4->f5 exf5 gxf5. If the B and the K are not in the proper position, black may lose. When the King goes to push the f pawn, Black should go Kf7, when the K goes to b6, Kd7. It is still a draw but Topalov may try to push this for a while.AdminX wrote:[d]6k1/1p5p/p2Pp3/Pb2B3/5K2/5P2/1P4P1/8 b - - 0 53

Sure, that's what happens when you are under pressure and in zeitnot and you don't have a bunch of 3200 elo engines to make it easy for you.rlsuth wrote:I think Anand just blundered with Bc6 didn't he?
That's what human means...
So, Sven explain now to me how a WC GM managed to lose what you so confidently confirmed as a draw??? Or the level in your club must be really high though...so high that you would draw this easily in Anand's shoes wouldn't you?

Re: Topalov vs Anand Gmae 8
Shouldn't it be a draw with opposite squared bishops?
