Deep Fritz 13 does not appear to be strong enough to win with the black pieces against Houdini 3 with that opening:

In round nine Critter beat Houdini with the same opening.

The openings are repeated with changed colors.

The opening does not appear to be a guaranteed win for black, here's Fritz 6 losing with black:

[Event "Houdini 3 testing 13"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "2012.11.30"]
[Round "1.1"]
[White "Houdini 3 Pro x64 2CPU"]
[Black "Fritz 6 Light"]
[Result "1-0"]
[ECO "D44"]
[Annotator "-0.31;-0.31"]
[PlyCount "93"]
[EventDate "2012.11.30"]
[EventType "tourn"]
[Source "Leto"]
[TimeControl "120"]

....
Question is how much stronger must white be in order to win with this opening?
Houdini 3 is about 200 ELO stronger than Fritz 13, so it doesn't need to be more than 200.
But white does't need to be "stronger" to win here with white, because just as in real life, you can always loose on a bad day (or because of statistics in CC world) :D

Stockfisch 2.2.2 gives already +1,1 for black in this position; Houdini 3 0,58; Komodo 3 0,46;
So lucky Houdini here
Not to criticize, but the openingsbook WorldClass2012-2 gave black here an (almost) easy win, as Houdini wins 80% of his games where it has a +0,5

but the tension is back in tournament

Hi Bram,

the WorldClass2012-2.cgb opening book consists of games from all World Championship matches/tournaments plus Candidates matches/tournaments, where the rating of both players was 2600+.

Interestingly, with the help of an observer, we found an incorrect pgn posted on websites.
It was a game between Short and Gupta, where the opening moves have been stuffed up badly.
http://199.237.62.163/perl/chesslike.pl?gid=1625917

This is the sort of problem that affects the quality of opening books constructed from gathered pgn files.
This line was played in an earlier round and I replayed the game with a different line by editing the tournament file.

THX Graham, for explaining.
But does this also apply for the opening I mentioned? From which stem game does the opening come: rnbqkb1r/p4p1p/2p1pp2/8/PppP4/2N2NP1/1P2PP1P/R2QKB1R w KQkq - 0 9 ?
I am just curious to know
