I never said it was easy, just doable. In the end, computers will take chess away from us, but that day hasn't arrived just yet.

The Illusion, it would appear, is it has arrived, and it's a powerful illusion!

Terry, I am having a hard time agreeing with you. I am pretty sure Kramnik played a lot against Fritz, was he able to win a single game? Heck no.
Who said he really prepared? He was off his game too.
Terry, why do you have to make up excuses for a loser?[/quote]

Kramnik a loser....give your head a shake!

I don't agree. If the top 5 players spent all their efforts on computer chess they would win, the computers would be dead..

They study for human games which is very different from computer games.

I see no reason for your confidence that kramnik really played a lot against Fritz.

My opinion is that that he was more interested in his new wife and did not care much about the results of the match.

Uri, you probably not too far off from the truth! Obviously Kramnik was distracted from the match...he wasn't playing true to form and many people can't see or understand that.

Until the public sees a few matches where the machines lose, they'll feel safe to say machines are stronger than top GM's, even though most haven't a clue what a strong GM is.

It isn't necessary to refer to others as being fools, ignorant or useless.

I think you should learn to read more carefully, I didn't call anyone a fool, ignorant or usless, in the direct sense.
