LCD Express: the Strongest hand-held unit for the price

Post by fern »

After some difficulties finally mastered with the help of an engineer -well, who has ever seen a low key china-made contrivance working Ok from the beginning?- I was capable of taking a look at one of the cheapest dedicated units ever made, the hand held LCD Express by Excalibur. Cheapest as some others equally cheap -19 bucks- , but lot stronger and so with the best relation price-performance I have ever seen in my long career as customer.
Of course, when I say this I am talking of a relation between strength and a VERY low parameter, the price. I am NOT saying the machine is awfully strong as compared with other units or programs.
But, hey, for 19 bucks you get in this Express thing the VERY SAME program -or at most a slightly different variation of it- that Excalibur puts in machines several times more expensive: the program of Alexandra, the program of Deluxe Touch, the program of, yes, Grandmaster, a near 200 dollars unit.
It is the same program, I checked it: same levels, same features, same voice, same exercises, same strength around, I would say, a very decent 1700 Elo. Perhaps something more against humans.
How all this was done?
Clearly China producers are capable of anything. In this case the light unit, so light that can be go with a breeze if you do not take care, has some components made even of, yeah, cardboard!!!!
So is the kind of thing you can carry at easy because if something goes wrong , well, it cost scarcely ore than a coffee in Starbuck.

Amazed regards
