Tony, i dont know where you got your facts from, but obviously you have never run a CM10th personality in chessbase. You can change the hash to basically whatever you want it. For 40/40 we run the CM10 personalities on 124mb hash, because they wont hit directly on 128mb. That is as close as you can get. For blitz you can run them on 32 mb, or anything else, just like any other UCI engine. You just cannot lower the hash, only raise it. It you want to lower the hash, the workaround is change engines, lower hash, and then change back to CM. Is all this clear?
Daddy George
George, what happend to you? I do not own any chessbase products, I use arena only. Under arena, regardless of what you change, the display shows 2MB hash usage, but you can see another process running on task manager named Kingwb13 that uses around 32MB. Again, I am using the package send to me by Graham.
I'm using a FreeMem program that displays the total memory usage of all processes in the system tray. So i can note the number displayed, and when i start an engine, it will change, so a little math tells me how much memory it's using.
In case anyone's interested, i just uploaded some new logos for the new TheKing engines ...
Dave, get ready to make at least 400 to 500 logos for this new CM's personalities. Once they get started, they develop a life of their own, multiplying faster than rabbits

Wow 400 to 500 logos!! Just a little unrealistic, don't you think, George.
Tony Thomas wrote:Keith, do you have the new version of King working using the above method that you mentioned? If you could, can you please upload your directory somewhere (without the king 350 engine)? Or you can place a dummy .exe in place of King 350 and then all the user would have to do is to copy the king to the directory, and hit yes to the pop-up message.
Sorry Tony, I wrote that post at 05:04 hours and I missed the 350. The versions of "The king" that I have are earlier than that. I really am in no position to comment on opk extraction in the 350 version.

I tried your example wb2uci.eng, and TheKing 3.50 only uses 2mb of hash for me. This is the wb2uci.eng file that i use, and it works for me. TheKing 3.50 uses between 252-258 mb of hash. It doesn't seem to matter what i set the hash usage in the uci configuration window. I can set it to 2mb, but the engine still uses between 252-258mb of hash, using this wb2uci.eng setup ...

Name=The King 3.50
