New Version of Winboard

The complete Winboard_F program that can play Gothic Chess, plus 2 programs that use this new protocol, can be downloaded from:

http://www.GothicChess.com/Winboard_F.zip

It requires some configuration first. Here is what to do:

1. Launch winboard
2. Hit OK
3. File ->New Variant...->gothic
4. Hit OK
5. Mode->Two Machines

It will automatically run a single game match against TSCP Gothic and fmax4_8s using the standard tournament time control.

You can change white/black and the time control from within the various menus. I'll have more complete documentation later.

I am working on a version right now that will support Windboard_F. The problem is, most of the crafty time management code was disabled when we released Gothic Vortex so that it could play at a fixed-time-per move. Obviously this will not work well in bitz matches under winboard.

So I have two tasks: re-enabling the crafty time management code, and porting the app to Winboard.

Working on that Daniel, but H.G. Muller is currently on vacation and he has the text for the exact writeup I believe.
