Is that the only exception?

All 19.x and 20.x are versioned that way. It's the rule, not the exception.

My fault then, I guess all the executables that I downloaded were correctly named by the people who compiled them. I wonder if the crafty crew ever thought about changing the system. For someone who runs tournaments picking out engines in alphabetical/numerical order is a lot easier.

M. Feist had compiled a chessbase native engine of crafty 21.6 (32bit).
There were some problems because the engine made nonsense moves.
He changed some parts with parts from former versions. I made so testgames with this version, and it seems to work okay. Also there is no cpu used in ponder OFF mode.

Thank you very much, Clemens!
the engine runs ok in CB - but the 64 bit engine made by BH is much faster :D

Hello Werner

is this 64bit compile a chessbase native version?
If so I had interests to run it on my hardware.
Kind regards, Clemens Keck

Here's my 64-bit Intel compiler 10 p.g.o build to test while we wait for 21.7.

Hi Clemens,
no - both 64 bit compiles (BH-JA) are wb engines with that CPU using while the óther engine is running.
