Need Some Advice About Particular Engine

I heard some vague references when Ifrit first appeared, to the idea that it might potentially contain some harmful viruses. I know nothing about the engine except from the looks of the site it comes from a Russian author. And there have been quite a few upgrades lately. Assuming an elo of 2000 before i load and fool with an engine ( each to his own choices here), is Ifrit safe to download and use, and what is its approx. rating now?

The issue with Ifrit was the website and a not so clever link and not the exe. AFAIK the exe was ok but if in doubt you can download the source and compile it yourself. The link was removed from the site after the guy was asked by Dann.
