Post by Werner »

Hi all :-),

our updated rating lists are now online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 120:
There is no update of our 40/120-list for dual/single engines this weekend.

40 / 20:
This week we added 2048 games to our list. See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 256.088 games!

New engines:
This week we have Twisted Logic, Cerebro, Delfi and Sorgenkind new in our list.

Delfi5.3 with 2CPU did not make a big jump: 2669 elos after 310 games. Fabio told me he will now work on a much stronger version after he has implemented smp.
We tested also Cerebro3.03d. This version is very close to the private version in our list with 2500 elos.
The test with Sorgenkind 0.3 was stopped after 166 games. We now test the bugfixed version 0.4 and we hope for a result > 2400.

According to CEGT 40/20 Smarthink moscow is showing an improvement of 49 points..Considering that we are comparing 32bit version and 64bit version, its indeed a very decent improvement. The improvement in blitz on the other hand is much higher..71 points. This co-relates rather well with my bullet list were Smarthink shows an improvement slightly over 100 points. So I guess the changes Sergei made help in quicker time controls but diminishes with longer controls..

Yeah,in my rating list at long time controls, the newest SmarThink shows an improvement of 45 Elo after playing more than 200 games,so my result are almost identical with CEGT's one....

146 SmarThink 1.10 Moscow 2757
183 SmarThink 1.00 2698

Hi Tony,
you can compare 32 bit engine too: 59 points here!

I will try to contact Sergei asking for a 64bit version.

Hi Werner,

This is concerning the Best Single version in the 40/20 list.

It would be good if you include just one version from an engine family so that it would be easier to see the real ranking of individual engines. I have seen a lot of Rybka, Toga and Fruit versions occupying the higher lists there.

If this is not possible, maybe creating a new list with this features would be great.

I also noticed that Toga1.4.2JD 4CPU is included in the Best Singles version.

Hi Werner! Best single versions 40/4 list contains two versions of Matacz, also two versions of Twisted Logic. Also two versions of Crafty. Also "CM10th Descent" and "The King 3.50 x64 1CPU" are I guess versions of the same engine. I hope you can fix it. Thanks!
