Is this a special Toga for Chess 960?

Yes it is but I think it is more than just that; Teemu introduced a lot of new code, code that could be used in debugging for instance, and he tried to repair some bugs, unfortunately some of the bugs where I think intentionally made by Thomas Gaksch because they helped the search, and without them Toga was a bit slowerOvyron wrote:Is this a special Toga for Chess 960?
At the time though I believe Teemu could not get new code for reading bitbases to work, I have not checked whether new code that is in place in Dann's version does now work correctly. But this surely is one of the most interesting Toga versions simply for its new ways of doing things, so many new lines of code where introduced that I kind of gave up understanding what they all do. I was hoping that Teemu would make a debugged version of Toga CMLX one day and that he would try again, and perfectly working code is also much easier to try to understand so I preferred to wait for a new version, to try again to understand, even 1% of Teemu's changes, that alone would probably take me weeks to do...

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

Hi Dann,
it does not start here too in console mode (Win xp 64bit)
Do you need to make a new compile with the .dll included?

All the best.
Where did you put the C++ runtime DLL?

Or you can just collect it from here...
Compressed with bzip2:

Not Compressed:

Werner,
I made a 64-bit as I'm curious if Teemu has made some improvements in his source.

msvcr90.dll is in the same directory as the toga.exe
