You can always ask Larry Kaufman he plays Shogi perhaps he can help.
Shogi abit alien to me thats why i use the Chess variant of Shogi, Crazyhouse This variant is the best way to elimate draws!! Very tactical indeed, i use the old Sjeng interface to play it as the other interfaces are abit confusing

I see there are 5 public shogidokoro programs. Have there been tournaments between these 5 shogidokoro programs? Is yours the first program to play shogi under winboard?

I haven't heard of any tournaments between these particular programs.
H.G. Muller was able to make GNU shogi play under WinBoard, although it wasn't very straight forward, since GNU shogi is not really a WinBoard engine.
