Post by Dr.Wael Deeb »

Ivanchuk,V (2781) - Shirov,A (2741) [D27]
Tal Memorial Moscow RUS (9), 27.08.2008
1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e3 c5 5.Bxc4 e6 6.0-0 a6 7.dxc5 Bxc5 8.Qxd8+ Kxd8 9.Ne5 Ke7 10.Be2 Bd7
11.Bf3 Nc6 12.Nxc6+ draw.

Gelfand,B (2720) - Morozevich,A (2788) [A04]
Tal Memorial Moscow RUS (9), 27.08.2008
1.Nf3 g6 2.e4 d6 3.c4 Bg4 4.d4 Bxf3 5.Qxf3 Bg7 6.Qd1 c6 7.Nc3 Qb6 8.Be3 Qxb2 9.Na4 Qb4+ 10.Bd2 Qa3
11.Bc1 Qb4+ 12.Bd2 Qa3 13.Bc1 draw.

My point is that these draws are not acceptable at all from my point of view,a 12 and 13 moves games, come on ,
give me a break as one of our respected members likes to say....

I think that something must be done regarding these laughable draws....
