Dear Chessfriends,

It's my great pleasure to announce the release of a new exciting chess server with the name InfinityChess.

The home of InfinityChess is the same as the famous chess monster Hydra, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. So it's no coincidence that InfinityChess applies itself also to the various aspects of computer chess and offers plenty of space for playing and researching with 'engines'. The eye-catching and user-friendly interface features support for all UCI chess engines and functions like kibitzing and infinite analysis.

InfinityChess provides worldwide connectivity for human-to-human, engine-to-engine, and human-to-engine matches.

There could be no better point of time for the release than the upcoming World Championship Match between Anand and Kramnik in Bonn (Germany), October 14th until November 2nd. We will not miss the extraordinary chance to present all 12 games semi-live on our server.

We warmly invite you to join our sessions on the server and enjoy an ultimate gaming experience. InfinityChess is ready for you to play and watch. If you like to know more, in particular, which money prize tournaments – for humans, engines and centaurs – we are going to schedule for November/December and for 2009, please visit our webportal in one of the next days. Don't hesitate to download InfinityChess for free and become one of our first users. All you need is about 534 MB space on your local disk and a bit of time for the download of 138 MB. InfinityChess consists of two parts, an offline application (with our own opening books and Toga engine), and the online application, both running on 32bit Windows systems. A 64bit version is currently in the works and will be released soon, as well as numerous other additional features.

If you like InfinityChess, you may perhaps be interested to join one of our internal test and welcome tournaments. The first ones will be some engine rapid tournaments (ca. 7 rounds, ca. 15m+3s), already with some small prizes. If so, send me please an email, so we can contact you immediately, when the schedules are fixed.

See you on InfinityChess !

Best Regards

p.s. InfinityChess is not just an interface to play online chess, it's a complete GUI like Fritz etc.

Does this server use normal ICS protocol, so it can also be used by standard interfaces like Blitzin, WinBoard, etc.?

Sounds interesting!

It would be good if there were some screenshots on the website, and a list of features, as it's a pretty large download!

It's basically a Fritz GUI with the Fluent UI, if you already have Fritz GUI and an account in playchess you won't be interested.

For those not having fritz gui its a very nice download - only real downer is that you cant copy engine analysis = pv output. Is this possible in future versions?
