Which engine shows an equal score? I have not found one yet, although admitedly I don't let them think for too much

When you find the engine that does, let me know I might just want to buy it.glorfindel wrote:Anand, V - Kramnik, V

I think it's sad computers don't quickly score this position as 0.00, they have a lot to learn as this game demonstrates.AdminX wrote:When you find the engine that does, let me know I might just want to buy it.glorfindel wrote:Anand, V - Kramnik, V

Re: Final position: 1/2-1/2
Well I didn't find one.
I tried AnMon, Colossus, Comet, Crafty, Fruit, Gandalf, Glaurung, Jonny, Scorpio, ShredderClassic, Spike, TheBaron, Yace and Zappa 1.1 for one minute on my Quad-Core Phenom 9850 (crafty, scorpio and zappa on four cores).
All show a significant advantage for white. Closer to equality were Spike Turin (good news: you don't have to buy it) and Gandalf 6 with a score of +1.01

Yes,
This type of position is something I have given thought to (on how to implement detection of its drawish nature by a computer program) but not ever had time to test. A human can see the draw easily, but teaching the computer when penetrating with the king can and cannot be done is not as easy to do as it first looks. I am convinced it can be done, but it will take some work.
The current Lemming fails the test of course, with a value of -1.48 (after 1 second, and after 1 minute).
