I believe this would be +/- at least, if not +-. I mean black gets totally ripped off in 2 moves.
1.a5 bxa5 2.Rb1 Bb7 and black defends e5, correct? 3.Qb2 may pose problems in this position since Bb7 and Nd6 can't move. But what I mean is that a computer would probably defeat us with a pawn up in such a position if we can't destroy him immediately.
Also after 3.Qb2 I think that black might play 3...Qc8 followed by 4...Ba6 and play against our c4 pawn.
I'm not using any chessboard, so I may be blind.

After Bb7 we take the pawn on e5 with Qxe5. I must say i really like our position after that. See below.

Yes, black will like this

After Nxc4, I think Black would be dead via Qe6+ Sven. Nxc4 is ??? to me anyway (and I hope I've seen it right). It just throws a knight away, doesn't it?

It does.
I think this is the best moment to play a5.
Ray, which moves have gotten the most votes?

Oops ...
Right, loses a knight.
Black could start hunting the queen (after Qe6+ Kh8 Ndxc4 for instance) with Rf6 Qg4 (Qxe7 Re8) Rf4 and try to draw but that's another issue and was clearly not the intention of bxa5?, although still interesting.
After 21.a5 bxa5 22.Rb1 Bb7 23.Qxe5, black does not play 23...Nxc4?? (as I learned now) but improves his position slowly with 23...Rf7 followed by 24...Rdf8. e6 is no longer a strong point for white in this position unless white could bring his bishop to e6. Maybe white gets equal play but I think this is a position where a computer would dominate us. Doubled rooks, pair of bishops with one of them very strong (c7), passed pawn (although doubled/iso/a-file), and white problem on c4.
