At the moment i can't install it under Fritz12Gui the sse4 version?
Give directly error and i have to close the Gui.

In Arena 3 it loaded..

In Console i can use.

There is a typo in one of the option announcement strings. Seems like Chessbase has a really fragile UCI parser, since AFAIK no other GUI had any complaints

A fix is in the works, tomorrow there will be a more CB friendly Critter available...

Houdini works as well as Komodo and several others but Critter doesn't seem to do anything?

FWIW, I'm running Critter 1.4 64bit sse4 in Arena 3.0 without any issues. I installed it just like any other UCI engine - nothing more. Sorry that I can't offer any suggestions.

BTW, thanks to Richard for his work on Critter - great engine.

Yeah...well thanks anyway and thanks to the author as well. Maybe I'll have to re-install Arena but if there is a fix as I installed it as you did, it would be nice.

terry it works without problems on my arena3.0.

do you use 32 or 64 bit version ? sse or no sse ?

Still seems a bit weaker than Houdini 1.5, maybe 15 Elo points.
