A very well deserved victory, my congrats to Texel!
Yes, the 24 core machine performed really well, although you obviously also need quite a bit of luck to score 9 out of 9 given that some of the opponents are quite close to texel in strength.

Texel has several times gotten into trouble as black against nightmare in games where nightmare opens with e4, later plays g4 and castles on the queen side against black's king side castle. I have let my automatic book builder spend a lot of time analyzing such positions, but some of the lines are very deep and complicated.

This time this kind of opening happened again, but texel was able to fend off the king side attack and launch its own attack on the queen side:

How much luck would you need against a 500 elo stronger opponent running on 20 cores with state of the art YBW vs your lazy 4?
You can't be this lucky so it must have been skill

Working again on Myrddin? That's excellent news, I'm sure that Lars will be happy! And many others as well :)

In this game Texel takes advantages of Zurichess' lack of king safety evaluation and destroys in 6 moves after 37. Kh3

Harm Geert,

Will there be a blitz tourney tomorrow (19-03) or is it postponed?
