I read that to test engines is usual to play thousends of 1sec or so matches.
How to do it? I think you need to not show graphics to be able to do it.
They use some GUI or make some kind of withoutGUI matches?

BTW: I could not understand how to see engines-GUI talk with Winboard.

I press Ctrl+Alt+F12 and winboard.debug in Winboard directory is overwritten but has no information .

I could not understand (may be cause my poor english and poor programming knowledge) the meaning of this from Winboard Help:


/debugFile filename or /nameOfDebugFile filename

Sets the name of the file to which WinBoard saves debug information (including all communication to and from the engines).


Could someone try to explain me this in other words?
