Minic FRC was always a bit behind.

For instance on standard chess at blitz paste, Minic3.04 + NoNo is +100 versus Vajolet
while in FRC is was -70.

Anyway ... fingers crossed ... :D thanks for testing

I didn't want to mention the higher number before in case it didn't hold. But it has, +150 Elo. Very impressive !

I wasn't expecting that, and the same won't happen in standard chess of course, but this is nice :D . It seems training with 75% standard chess + 25% FRC is quite good for FRC ...

Btw, can you make sure the new net name appears on this link (https://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/404FRC/c ... Minic_3_06) the same way it was there for the previous net please (https://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/404/cgi/ ... _04_64-bit).

Thank a lot for this test!

Yes, will make sure the name of the net is mentioned in engine notes for the weekend updates.

Thanks for sharing this game.

Beware "nefarious nucleus" is only compatible with Minic 3.00 and Minic 3.01.

I encourage you to update to Minic 3.06 with "nocturnal nadir".

Minic 3.04 played in my tournaments

http://faceblitz.feste-ip.net:56132/dok ... ed22-div_2

i thought to be sure it runs on NNUE - Arena GUI 3.51 - the path was filled in correctly
but actually i look at my ratinglist and ... the rating was 100 points to low as expected, so i checked again - it was running on HCE
with NNUE activ it should have found its way to next higher division

how to set the path to NNUE correctly under Arena? I tried / instead \ but no succcess.

All other engines, including Scorpio worked well.

Hi, thanks for letting Minic play and for this issue report.

How do you ensure it was running HCE (using the -quiet 0 option once and look at the log or observing NPS, or ...) ?

I'll rely on the community to help. One thing that is working for sure is putting the net in the "working directory" (I think this is a Arena parameter for each engine being often set the the path where the executable is) and put the network file there. After that you can just use the filename without any path in front.

The great RPi users and especially "AlexChess" found an issue with the 3.06 RPi release of Minic when "nocturnal nadir" is used.

There is quite a big bug for Android support (because it's laking std::filesystem full implementation...). As a consequence, "nocturnal nadir" is not usable for Android with Minic3.06. "noisy notch" is still working. The issue is related to the "version control" I introduced in 3.06.

I'll have to release 3.07 soon to fix that for Android users.

In the meantime, Android user can follow this advice : http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.p ... 49#p892149

Is it going to make much of a difference with "nocturnal nadir" :?: I stopped it since Komodo 10 was winning too many games after only 7 games played.
