The first possible discovered checks in a game

Post by eligolf »

Hi,

On the chess programming wiki I see that there are supposed to be 6 discovered checks at depth 5 from the initial position (https://www.chessprogramming.org/Perft_Results). However I can't figure out what discovered checks that can arise that early in the game, can anyone please let me know :D

I am also interested. Thinking blindfold, what about the following lines?

1. b4 e5 2. Ba3 Ke7 3. b5+
1. b4 e6 2. Ba3 Ke7 3. b5+
1. c4 f5 2. Qb3 Kf7 3. c5+
1. c4 f6 2. Qb3 Kf7 3. c5+
1. g4 d5 2. Bh3 Kd7 3. g5+
1. g4 d6 2. Bh3 Kd7 3. g5+

Regards from Spain.
