CCW (computer-chess.org) connection problems?

I noticed that the connection to CCW (computer-chess.org) was so slow yesterday that I used a wayback link for collecting some infos.

Even today it is not that good as in the past, especially a lot of packet loss on some nodes in the US.
Hopefully it won't time out anytime soon. There were no updates since 6 months anyway.
Do you experience similar problems?

Hello Günther:

I browse through computer-chess.org and its pages without problems, like if I were browsing Wikipedia or whatever. I also tried tracert at the command prompt once, getting in touch with the site in 12 steps. There were only three steps with asterisks (timeouts?): steps 4 and 5 full of asterisks and step 7 with '17 ms 7 ms *' output. The latest step was the slowest without asterisks, with times '91 ms 97 ms 92 ms'. The web browser was Google Chrome. Good luck.
