Ceres..Allie..Leelenstein Chess Fighter Not Working GPU

Post by supersharp77 »

GPU Issues....I5 (Quad) Nvidia NVS 3100M GPU...(Cuda)

Allie Loads in Gui (Fritz) but No moves.....Leelenstein (LC0 22.0 GPU) Loads in GUI but no moves made..LC0 v0.16.0 (GPU) Loads in GUI but no moves..Chess Fighter Boots and seems ready but won't load in Fritz GUI (Have Not tried Arena yet) Ceres GPU does not boot successfully at all so far...Anyone had any success getting any of these five to work? Nvidia Tool Box test demos not working either so far...Let me know if you've had any success with these..Thx In Advance .. :)

I presume NVIDIA Quadro is the problem, just too weak for CUDA. Try LC0 0.28.2 and very small nets and even installations without CUDA. Even if you find a running constellation, you won't be happy with the result.

Here you can find advice, what to install to get a running installation of LC0:
https://lczero.org/play/download/

Hardware Backend
Newest (2018+) NVidia GPUs: RTX 20xx, RTX 30xx and so on (but not GTX 16xx) CUDA
Newer (2014-2018) NVidia GPUs: GTX 7xx, GTX 8xx, GTX 9xx, GTX 10xx and also GTX 16xx CUDNN
Newer non-NVidia GPUs (only for latest versions of Windows 10) DirectX 12
Older GPUs or Windows versions. Note: Recent AMD GPUs might have driver issues. OpenCL
Computers without GPUs, but with modern CPUs DNNL BLAS
Older CPUs OpenBLAS

Thank You My Friend....I only had Cuda 9.2 Installed....I just installed Cuda 11.2 Nvidia Last night but I haven't tested it yet..I ran some sort of sample which brought up Microsoft Visual studio or another New Visual Studio... Based on what I've read this Cuda download is to assist these engines in calculation..Now when I did some initial testing with arena Chess Fighter and Allie attempted to run using 300-400 Mb of ram...which showed before the engines both stopped running after a couple of minutes..Quite Curious Actually..most of my engines are running with minimal ram (64-128)..perhaps I will adjust the std ram settings in arena... :)
