It was silly not to throw in 16.Re1ch first, I'm sure I would have done so in a tournament game. This game was typical in that I built up a winning advantage early only to lose later. The reason is that Stockfish Elo levels rely on random/crude eval but still with very deep search, which is very inhuman. So a setting of 2200 might play positionally like 1600 but still tactically like 2800 or more. Not at all like a human player, who in general can only search a few ply in most lines but may still play positionally pretty well. That's why we do it very differently in Komodo/Dragon.

It would be nice if you get in touch with Jamaal Abdul-Alim so he can also use Komodo Dragon in his Square Off Automatic move Chess Board which give a more realistic FIDE rating than Stockfish.lkaufman wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 8:46 pm It was silly not to throw in 16.Re1ch first, I'm sure I would have done so in a tournament game. Jamaal is not part of the company that makes Square OFF, he just wrote the article on it for Chess Life. It is only "his" Square Off in the sense that he owns one of the boards. I think that Square Off may also be capable of using other software besides Stockfish, but I don't know any details about this.Chessqueen wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 8:54 pmIt would be nice if you get in touch with Jamaal Abdul-Alim so he can also use Komodo Dragon in his Square Off Automatic move Chess Board which give a more realistic FIDE rating than Stockfish.lkaufman wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 8:46 pm It was silly not to throw in 16.Re1ch first, I'm sure I would have done so in a tournament game. I can NOT wait until they decide to implement Komodo Dragon in the Square Off NEO ==>lkaufman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 12:41 amJamaal is not part of the company that makes Square OFF, he just wrote the article on it for Chess Life.
