I still prefer TCEC, but it doesn't excite me as much as it used to, because they fluff around with so many unnecessary tournaments.
I'd enjoy it more if they just ran the various divisions, plus the Cup event. All the other stuff is just uninteresting.

Anyone competition that goes too far with unbalanced openings to create an artificial situation which doesn't reflect any sort of reality is of no interest to me.

WCCC. Unlikely to be the best way to determine which is the best engine, but, for me, it somehow "feels" like a sporting event - especially if you visit in person.
It's probably fading in this respect though (I haven't been in person since the year 2000).
