How realistic is it to use the GM personalities to simulate head-to-head matches ?
Do the king 3.5 engine support more than 1-core in use ?
I made a minor tweak to the Petrosian GM profile. Own rook value at 4.8 and opponent rook value at default 4.9
Is there any perfoemance gains from the secret 64-bit engine that require hex editing ?

Not much. The opening books are specific to the GM, and the personality's settings are not unreasonable. But really it's just for fun. We intentionally displayed the GM personalities with no ratings to avoid large numbers of complaints.Nordlandia wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 2:35 pm How realistic is it to use the GM personalities to simulate head-to-head matches ?

Re: Chessmaster GM Edition
Occasionally the gui closes itself for no apparent reason in engine matches. Is there a quick-fix to this issue.
I can mention i have hash at 256 mb.
As I think max will be better on fast hardware.
Is it possible to adjust personality profiles with txt editor ?
For instance it would have been nice if possible to adjust piece values to let say "3.25"

It can, but it still uses some of the cpu during the opponent's time to think.
