My "time has arrived" definition:

* play the UCC (unbeatable chess computer) as many times as you like (or take any position from any of its recorded games)

* analyse any of these positions for as long as you like, using all available resources

* play on from any position it has ever been in after any amount of analysis by any means

* unable to find a winning line

All that will be accomplished in less than 30 years. Hope I will still be alive to see it

Is there any evidence that current Stockfish or Dragon, playing on good hardware with good openings at something like one day per move time limit, has ever lost a game or ever had a losing position as far as is known? Many players use such engines for correspondence play, so we only need to find out whether the ones who are known to use good hardware and sound openings ever get a lost position. Something for discussion with such players. My guess is that we are already there, I think they would only lose games if they force the engine to play unsound openings. But the engines are still very far from perfect, they won't always find winning lines if the opponent errs or plays losing openings.
