Arasan caused an exception in every game in late middle game, but I see in all your compiled engines (Arasan, Obsidian, Plentychess) some strange thing, from first move hash is full 95%+, no matter what I hash set.

Re: New J.A Compiles
Sorry for some basic questions. What does it mean certain compile is faster? Does it mean starts faster than some other binary, or reaches certain number of nodes quicker, or something else? How can I compare different executables? I often simply update from github and follow the compilation instructions in the readme file on linux. Should I instead download from JA?

Faster likely means more nps. Anyway: As you're on Linux, fastest should always be 'march=native' (often it's already in the makefile) plus pgo.
In the case of stockfish it's for me (slowest to fastblitz) gcc, clang, gcc with pgo, clang with pgo. pgo-compiled binaries (with either compiler) are almost the same speedwise, but we're talking here about 2-4 % (yours may differ)...

Re: New J.A Compiles
Yes, means more NPS.
I compare the results with Shredder GUI, compiles by programmer and Jim. Often the differents are small but in clearly most of cases the compiles by Jim are faster. I am very happy with the compiles by Jim and the work he do for us here. Furthermore, Jim offer much current dev compiles. Examples are Altair, Renegade, Tucano, Devre, Weiss and others ... newer versions as the last release by the programmer.
Also interesting are all the time the Stockfish dev compiles. Much other programmer do that too from time to time (Uralochka, Texel ... current version here is 1.12a12 or the Obsidian compiles, or compiles by by Günther Simon or Ipman). I am using all of that for my private tournaments.
Thanks to all and for the readers ...
Have a nice week.
Best

Re: New J.A Compiles
Hi there,
my website is not longer available.
But I am working all the time on it ... only for myself.
Here the list from engines I am using.
If JA compile in the *.html file, the compile by Jim is faster.
If not, or the compile by Jim is older as the compile by the programmers or isn't faster, no link in table to Jim.
So, I am checking engines I am using from time to time for my private tournaments.
Here the download link:
https://www.amateurschach.de/download/_ ... 112024.zip
Please open the *.html file in "main" directory.
May this helps others a bit.
Of course, the list of engines isn't complete.
