Analysing only one node (i.e the board position) what Elo would the following play at:
Lc0 using BT4
SF 16.1
An old chess program from 1994, say MChess or Genius.
ChatGPT guessed it went like this:
SF 16.1 = 2300 Elo
Lc0 = 1900 Elo
MChess = 1600 Elo
I’m pretty sure it underestimates Lc0, which I would have thought would be best by far.
Take your best guess

I'm glad LLMs are the "authority on everything" now: when I want an opinion, I'll be able to cut out the intermediaries (the humans on the news or social media) and go straight to the LLM!
My guesses for specified engines at ply 1:
LC0: 2700
SF: 2300
MChess or Genius: 1300

Human chess is partly about tactics and strategy, but mostly about memory

Time Control play a huge role in rating when nodes per move are fixed. Moreover 1 ply != 1 node. However i agree with your guess if you mean FIDE Blitz (3'+2") and 1 node per movetowforce wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 11:14 pm I'm glad LLMs are the "authority on everything" now: when I want an opinion, I'll be able to cut out the intermediaries (the humans on the news or social media) and go straight to the LLM!![]()
