Even in this case you can tweak implementation details of known good ideas (albeit no matter how you spin them for some engines some things just refuse to work) - and this is impossible to guess with 75% confidence.

Who needs this SPRT thing, I test changes using a test suite of 10 positions, measuring time and nodes to solution. I do not understand what all this craze for "statistics" and "rigor" is.
