Hi Ron,

I tried to register for your computer-chess wiki ( http://computer-chess.org/doku.php?id=home ), in order to update some of the info on WinBoard you have there. But after entering name and e-mail, and pressing 'Register', I get to a completely blank page, and I never receive any e-mail. What could be the problem? (Using FireFox 23.0.1 on Win 8.)

2.-Your own web page has a strange behavior in the last days !

Hi HG,

Spammers have clogged the Computer-Chess Wiki system with too many registrations. The system runs out of memory trying to process the user list. I am trying to find an automated way to distinguish real user registrations from spammer registrations. In the meantime I intend to delete thousands of bogus registrations. Give me a day or two to finish up work on the wiki and then you can try again.

Yes, the problem is being caused by a huge amount of spammer registrations that are overwhelming the system. I am working on it.
