Hello!
I'm thinking about releasing my new engine, which is actually a new version of a program I started nearly a decade ago. Because I've been compiling in Visual Studio, I've had some trouble with earlier compiles not running on some Windows machines. Would anybody be willing to make sure it runs, and maybe have it play a game of chess?
If you're so willing, I've hosted the download at
math.berkeley.edu/~sparks/exacto/versions/prerelease.zip
And you can just post in this thread to let me know if there are any issues. (The included executable is for 64 bit Windows, and my engine operates under the XBoard protocol.)
Greatly appreciated!
Dan

I downloaded it and matched it against my engine. After 30 games of 2m+1s it's beating up on MadChess +14 =11 -5. Hasn't crashed yet.
Running the match in Fritz 14 with Wb2Uci for your engine.

Thank you for doing this. May I ask which version of Windows you are using?
