McBrain 9.6 will be released tonight.
For those that can’t wait , the code is on Github - as well as some pop count executables for macOS. More will posted later.
This version includes support for 7 man syzygy tablebases , mobility code by Dann Corbit and also playout code by Stefano Cardanobile. It is about 30 Elo stronger than SF 9 - note current dev SF is about 35 Elo stronger - so it does sacrifice some Elo for a slightly different analysis/search from current dev SF.
The release link will be posted here tonight ( currently 11 AM my time) with links many different flavors of OS.

Re: McBrain 9.6 will be released tonight.
The compiles I built did not run correctly.
Perhaps it is because I am using g++ 8.1.0
Not sure. The other stockfish versions and variants all compile and run fine using the same compiler, so I am not sure what is wrong.
That is why I have been unable to contribute.

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
