Tough Tactical Test 2
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Re: Tough Tactical Test 2
It took a lot of positions to boil down to 100.
Every position has at least two or three engines at two hours per position and some have four engines.
Some have lots of forward and twin positions deeply analyzed.
Problems 34, 10, and 94 were given 42,900 seconds, 11,100 seconds and 11,100 seconds.
All at 62 threads with 100GB RAM, all 6 man files and all the significant 7 man files on high speed gumstick ssd.
Basically, my fastest PC ran 24x7 for about 50 days.
I used some other machines too, but only for side analysis (none of that is recorded in the positions).
Some of the positions have small time totals in the seconds slot, but that is due to forward and backward analysis of many cycles.
The dreaded dorszcz really has a wonderful eye for pretty positions too.
I felt like applauding when I saw some of them solved.

That is just the main body analysis too.
The initial analysis started at the end of June.

A bit sad as we see all the work you have done. But building test suites is a never ending story

Re: Tough Tactical Test 2
CDrill around CCRL 1800 without transposition table and other prunings and reductions outperformed the stronger non-NNUE Deuterium around CCRL 3000. Larger Lc0 nets performed better. Crystal is far ahead.
