Deep Fritz 12 rocks!

You will need the CD every once in a while to run the DF engine. The GUI works OK with other engines though and the nag popup to put the DVD in does not happen with the other UCI engines. I have to say this is one of the most annoying things with regards to DF or Fritz engines and I usually end up not using the DF engines except when I want to do a tourney. I wish CB would stop doing this idiotic thing with their engines. This does not happen with other CB engines such as Deep Rybka or Deep Shredder etc..

Thanks everyone for the help and replies. Now if you were going to buy one Fritz engine (10, 11 or 12) for FUN which would you recommend? I am not really considering purchasing it for analysis but more for a fun training and playing engine. I have heard that Fritz 10 was fun. What would be your opinions?

For fun I recommend strongly Deep Fritz 10,it's playng style is amazing....since Fritz 11 it the playing style is more fishy to say the lease....understand boring

Depp Fritz 10 it is! I just found a new and unopened copy on Amazon for $13! Can't beat that price!! I am looking forward to playing some games against it! Thanks!
