I am new to fics and do not know the babaschess interface. Is there a command to see ccct123 games.

Thanks

I think that winboard comes already set for accessing freechess.org after installation.

I registered and logged on.

I typed in games, but don't see any of the entrants.

The Screen reads:

Welcome to the Free Internet Chess Server at freechess.org ******

This is the right place I hope

The next round is at midnight Chicago time (in less than ten hours from now).
When you get in, type
+ch 64
and you will listen to the comp. chess channel. You can something (e.g. hello) with
tell 64 hello

to observe a game type
obs player

if you type
examine gaviota 54
you will see the interesting how gaviota drew crafty today :-)

Miguel,

I just wanted to ask you. Do you plan on releasing a new version of Gaviota soon?

I am starting a team tournament next week which will include Gaviota.

Best Regards,
Martin

Got it - this is 10:00 P.M. N.Y. time. I get to watch The UFC and CCCT12 at the same time!

Best of Luck!!

Hi Marc,

Nice to see there are other guys who like MMA and chess. :D I thought I was the only one. It is probably that Fedor likes chess too, being russian.

Regards,
Carlos

PS: Good luck to Miguel, very impressive performance by Gaviota so far.

Yes, its evaluation is a pleasure to watch. It is obviously lovingly tended to by refined chess player. Perhaps the time and effort put into it does not have quite as high an ELO return as aiming for a little more depth of search, but the chess player in me definitely appreciates this more human approach to chess playing more.
