Kiwi 0.6d: #45 free single-CPU engine

Post by Kirill Kryukov »

Kiwi 0.6d is now integrated into Free Single-CPU comparison (under CCRL 40/4 conditions), where it stands as #45 listed engine:

Rating list and tables

This area of the rating list is still unstable as there are several engines of similar strength to be tested and added in future.

Best,

Wow Kirill... more than 1000 games for Kiwi alone!
Thanks a lot for testing it, this engine has not been updated for a long time (*) but the rating isn't too bad! 8-)

Thanks also to Jim for the faster recompilation, I lost track of the original post so I hope Jim read this!

(*) Kiwi might get an update soon, as it recently lost its first official game for a rare year-old bug that I never fixed... :-(

Hamsters are better than Kiwi, so no point in working on Kiwi again and switching back and forth.

That's a tough point to argue against. Tony- 1 George- 0

Welcome! Only 640 of those games are mine, I only tested it versus nearby opponents in my selection of free engines. Though now Kiwi 0.6d is included in this comparison, so it will play more games whenever an engine of similar strength will need opponents. :-)

BTW, this can be seen on the rating graph on Kiwi 0.6d details page. In the "Rating changes by day" plot, the blue line shows number of games played (though no axis markings for it, and not explained anywhere yet). :-)

Hm.. :-) Kiwi has 38 points to gain before it can catch Arasan (as they currently stand). Actually a few engines of about Kiwi strength are now missing from the list, but hopefully will be added soon. Then there will be more action there. :-)

Looking forward for a stronger Kiwi! (Even though I like Hamsters as well!)

Best,
Kirill
