Deep Sjeng 1.0 issues

Dear group:

A couple of things. I installed Deep Sjeng 1.0. Why does Chess Partner also get installed?

Next, the program runs at a decent speed until I try to open a database. Then it slows down to a crawl. It takes forever to open a database when I want to save a game. I opened task manager and Deep Sjeng is using about 95% of the CPU time during this process. Any ideas about what is causing this?

I already removed and reinstalled the program and deleted the old databases.

Any help would be great.

Hi Kerry,
there is an update to version 1.6 on Lokasoft sites. I never tried DS 1.0 - I used always 1.6 and had no problems.
Now I am using version 2.5 downloaded from sjeng.org
