You should get the latest build of version 2 if you have a windows mobile 2003 or better device.

As far as I know CEBoard is for PPC/windows mobile only.

For Palm, I would recommend FREE program OpenChess with several FREE engines: Scorpio 1.6, GNUChess2, Fruit 2.1, Phalanx, GambitFruit 4bx, Toga II 1.1a, and internal OpenChess engine.

Of course, commercial Chess Genius and Hiarcs for Palm are very good choice as well.
