0d0d1100ddd0d11ddd00- 8.5/20 Hiarcs 12 SP
1d1d0011ddd1d00ddd11- 11.5/20 Fritz 11
And Back Comes Fritz With 2 Draws & 2 Wins!
The point here being: Yes, the same generic book is being used for both, so Hiarcs 12 SP does not have the use of his own book. But neither does Fritz. And at the 2/3 mark of the match, should Fritz 11 even be that close, much less leading by 3 games? 20 games, nor 30 games- gives you anything written in stone, but still it makes one wonder exactly how much stronger this Hiarcs version actually is........

I don't think that hiarcs will loses in the end but still not using an engines book is not the best way to test imo. I have seen weird things happen, with engines performance, when paired with a different book.

That's the CCRL (and CEGT) policy, generic bookseriq wrote:I don't think that hiarcs will loses in the end but still not using an engines book is not the best way to test imo.
Then, the engine in question has a problem and it is exposed...eriq wrote: I have seen weird things happen, with engines performance, when paired with a different book.
