Gil Galad still looks somewhat comfortable, not too many settings breathing down its neck.

There is one problem when a setting is tested by the creater himself. I have noticed that on my computer when I am testing games my favorite wins the games 90% of the time even when its much weaker, I still dont have an answer to the phenomena. Its a mystery just like the disappearing sock in the dryer..

I Conclude:

That the Strength of the top settings of any engine in single cpu cannot exceed the strength of the same default setting engine in 2cpu.

What about the socks? Can you ever find all the pairs when you take them out of the dryer?

This happens to me with my favorite engines. For example, Thinker, that plays like a beast on steroids on my computer while doesn't do as good on the rating lists. A similar effect happened with Toga 3.1.2SE Chekov and ProDeo 1.6b. I've also noticed the results are different when I watch the games than when I let the computer run the games while I go and do something else.

Eerie.

Finally, someone who has had similar experiences as me. Yes, the engines win or draw all the games when I am watching. If I let the tournament run while I am away, when I come back I see some horrible results.
