emails from Larry Kaufman ?!

Post by walter koroljow »

Over the last three weeks I have received a number of emails from "Larry Kaufman". They have mentioned Komodo, pictures he is sending me, and the name karen.romo@texicoschools.com.

I have ignored these emails and have not clicked on anything.

If I am making a mistake or if you are receiving such emails, this information may be useful.

In any case, Hi! to Larry, whom I have not met, but whose book I have read.

It's not Larry Kaufman sending you emails. It would be from either komodochess.com or gmail. Larry can can correct me if I'm wrong.

It is almost certainly a scam. Email headers are easily forged.

Email scammers are usually young or simple: it would be unusual for one to impersonate a man at the sophistication level of Larry Kaufman.

Of course, the sender and recipient could have been stolen from an address book: do you correspond with anyone who corresponds with Mr Kaufman?

Not that I know of. However, I have bought various versions of Komodo. WK

I also get emails from Larry most days. His emails are very naughty so I put them in spam.

I don’t send such emails, it is some kind of scam. I often receive similar emails allegedly from friends, even long-dead ones, and discard them.
