Does it support 64-bit UCI engines as well?

but arena 1.99 beta 4 is better.

the problem with zapchess is that the engine-tournament and the match-features are not that good like the ones in arena.

e.g. if you stop a match or an engine-tournament IN a game, you cannot continue it.
or if you change a parameter of ONE participant of the engine-tournament, the chessbase GUI starts the tournament again and you lose all data that was generated before. you can e.g. not let a late-entry participate without destroying the whole tournament.

one reason you will have to change parameters of ONE engine is e.g. the opening-book-bug in chessbase gui's. although you linked the engine with an opening book, when you start the tournament the engine suddenly plays WITHOUT book.
if this happens after 20 other games have happened with other engines, and you now change it, you lose those 20 games.

I've never seen the book bug in Chessbase GUIs.
Also it's very easy to edit a Chessbase GUI tournament if you know how, without losing any games.
Same applies for the Shredder and ChessGUI GUIs.
Having said this, I agree that the Arena GUI is the easiest GUI to edit a tournament in.

I've encountered this opening book bug before. It occurs if you choose a book for an engine first, then set the parameters afterwards. If you set the parameters first, then choose the book, then it seems to be ok.

Yes - you're correct. I assumed it was standard practice to enter the engine parameters first.
