I need a good suite with 100-200 games. Do you know one?
You can download the 500 opening-positions, which I use for my LS-ratinglist testwork, on my website ("Settings & Links" - section)...
They are all 8 moves deep and taken from the SWCR-database. The positions are "random-mixed" (not sorted), so you can use only 100 or 200 positions instead of the complete 500-set...

Current test results

Code: Select all

Blitz tournamant 2 1 2013

Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Stockfish DD 64 SSE4.2 6.0 - 3.0 +3/=6/-0 66.67%
Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Houdini 4 Pro x64A 5.5 - 3.5 +3/=5/-1 61.11%
Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Houdini 4 Pro x64B 6.5 - 2.5 +4/=5/-0 72.22%
Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Houdini 3 Pro x64 4.5 - 3.5 +3/=3/-2 56.25%
Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Critter 1.6a 64-bit 5.5 - 2.5 +3/=5/-0 68.75%
Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Deep Rybka 4.1 SSE42 x64 6.5 - 1.5 +5/=3/-0 81.25%
Stockfish 191213 64 SSE4.2 - Fire 3.0 x64 5.5 - 2.5 +3/=5/-0 68.75%

That looks promising, but the number of games is too small.
But I will do a testrun of Stockfish 131219 for my LS-ratinglist with 10000 games. Than we will see, if this Stockfish is really stronger at bullet timecontrols.
Result (hopefully) next Thursday.
Stay tuned!

This is looking like another milestone upgrade from the Stockfish team.
I guess they got tired of hearing that Houdini is still King at Blitz.
SF team finds code changes that make the engine stronger at 15 and 60 secs time control in self play. No more, no less. If that results in throwing all ippo clones back into the rat holes where they came from, well, that's an unwanted side-effect. Noone ever would intend something like that...(;-))
