Hello all,
Just wanted to share my first chess engine with you.
It's definitely not very strong but I do feel proud of what I accomplished so far.
I tried to make the source code as understandable as possible so it may at least help newcomers to the chess programming world.
Feel free to ask any questions, critique it, or even contribute to its improvement!
Here's the link for the repo: https://github.com/jsilll/codfish.
Thanks.

Since it is still a very weak engine the name should be changed to Paedocypris, which is the smallest fishjsilll29 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 1:22 am Hello all,

Yea the name might be bit misleading, but it wouldn't be the smallest fish in the sea too. We named it this way as sort of a joke: me and the other folks that helped on its development are from Portugal, and Portuguese people love Codfish.Chessqueen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 6:50 amSince it is still a very weak engine the name should be changed to Paedocypris, which is the smallest fishjsilll29 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 1:22 am Hello all,
