In opposition to the other Graham I will reiterate what a huge advancement this is over previous chess playing robots.
Personally, I lost interest in playing strength when the computers surpassed the top human (I took a keen interest in neural networks conferring a big ELO boost - breaking the previous doctrine that depth and NPS are everything, and I follow general trends, but I don't download strong engines like Stockfish), so this aspect of it has no appeal to me. The AI advancement here though is still very exciting: the robotics are multiple orders of magnitude better than previous chess robotics - and robotics are a VERY important part of AI: we want them DOING as well as thinking!
This robot could have a night out at the local chess club!
Human chess is partly about tactics and strategy, but mostly about memory

More advanced, stronger and probably more reliable too.
Good news: Senserobot can be seen at the IFA (Internationale Funkaustellung Berlin) in Berlin !!!
IFA is the world’s largest home & consumer tech event – where Samsung, LG, Sony, Bosch, Miele, TCL, Hisense and many more global leaders join innovators and visitors to shape what’s next.
