The evidence shows that chess engines are still weaker than top GMs in playing strength. Humans are more creative and humans understand chess strategy and positional chess much better than the engines.

This may change in a million years from now but personally I won't hold my breath because as of today humans are better than the engines.

Just because chess engines can beat 99.9% of human players, there is still a 0.1% of humans that they cannot beat.

Chess engines are tactical monsters but strategically they are much weaker and I believe that many engines (including Stockfish probably) can be outplayed strategically by a very good human player.
