build 64 is up:
- advanced edit tournament (add/remove engines or change cycles for rr and gauntlet)
- epd support (as a book or even view or run suite)
- show move count in tournament schedule
- several more fixes

this is an important milestone because I consider Myracle feature-complete now and don't plan
any new features except for bugfixing

Thanks for the constant quick progress!
I still use all files from version 58 and only replaced binary now and then. Guess, I should sooner or later replace rest of the files too, shouldn't I?
To keep the already newly on my own added engines in use, should I simply replace after new full installation the new one with backup- file of engines.json.gz, or could I as well keep the whole old config- directory?
Peter.

so far it's okay to simply replace the exe, I'll give heads up if some data changes in the future
and yes - you can keep the whole config directory, what you do is perfectly fine too

I can't say thank you enough times. Whatever comes, for me this will remain the best of the year.

Thanks Martin. Huge effort you've put in and you need to get your free time back ! It is right to now just focus on bugfixes.

I admit I haven't yet had time to actually run any matches, I have not had enough time. But I have spent time going through the menu options and seeing the functionality and also noted all the positive feedback in this thread, and everything looks impressive.

thanks for the kind words, it feels satisfying that (most?) people like it - also fun to build something useful for a change

Thanks again for the amazing program, and for EPD support specifically. The advanced tournament edit is very helpful too. I really think the community will appreciate your GUI.

Quick question. If I want to run a gauntlet, with the gauntlet engine playing 100 openings against each opponent with reversed side, what are the setting for that ? Is it:
Cycles = 100 and "repeat reverse" ticked ?
Or is it "repeat openings"

I'm not clear on this.

In cutechess it is:
Rounds 100
Games per encounter 2
Play each opening 2 times
Swap sides ticked

thanks :-)

Hello Martin...

I may have discovered a bug. When you select an EPD file under *New Game* and click *OK*, error messages about illegal moves appear. In a tournament with multiple engines, however, everything works fine. Can you reproduce this on your side.

Best regards
