Is Hiarcs worth $79.99? I am sure that is open to debate.Sean Evans wrote:Sometimes the truth hurts, but it is still the truth!Harvey Williamson wrote:I see you just want to troll.Sean Evans wrote:Nope, the US$ 79.99 for a Walmart bargain-bin program worth about ten-bucks! Is Hiarcs a "Walmart bargain bin program worth about 10 bucks"? Only true in the sad, miserable minds of people such as Mr. Sean Evans.

Oh, there is Adam Pubic-Hair breaking the Charter again! Hiarcs based on its ELO strength is a Tier 2 or Tier 3 class program. It cannot justify the price being asked. Harvey's argument that it is a database and GUI is a red-herring, there are many free databases and GUIs. Keep on trolling Adam! Re: A couple of little mistakes on the SSDF long list
Worth is based off what's available and not how useful something is. For example water is nearly valueless since it is very abundant. But no one would doubt it's usefulness. Hiarcs simply isn't worth that amount due to what's already available and what they are available for. Imo, Hiarcs should be around $20 at most. This would generate at least some sales since $20 is not a lot to most people. Hell, I might buy it then although I may or may not use it.Adam Hair wrote:Is Hiarcs worth $79.99? 192 is a mystery because even the oldest backup i've got (from SSDF list issued on 2-Oct-2001) shows:
Code: Select all
79 192 64MB P200 MMX 2249 44 -46 248 41% 2317
