this happens if you have a pairing that utilizes more than a possible scheduler budget and tournament cannot continue.
for example you set core budget in concurrency settings to 1 and try to run 1vs1 ponder on or even some of the engines is set up to use 2 or more threads,
ditto for memory. the GUI already tells you where to look
I was running the tournament when the error occurred, forcing me to reduce the number of engines I had added. The tournament then continued up to the state shown above; I had just added Critter and Monty at that point. However, I don't see what is wrong, and it isn't clear to me exactly where I should be looking.

A new found little bug: a Queen counts as 10 in material counting.
well, that's intentional. if you look at "the evaluation of material imbalances" by Larry Kaufman, the queen is worth 9.75 rather than the conventional wisdom that it should be 9, so I put it at 10
Yes, Critter was the cause. However, I had already successfully tested Critter in the test tournament and hadn't changed the settings since. Therefore, I initially ruled it out.
Regarding the EGTB: do they always have to be configured in the engines as well, or is setting the path sufficient?

yes per engine, unless you check the Override engine options checkbox in new tournament and check Use global syzygy path,
it'll then override SyzygyPath using the one you suppied in settings/paths

The windows are resizable. Just drag the horizontal bar at the top of that window (just below the "material / fifty / men" text) down so that you only see one line.

Thank you very much for your answer. Isn't there a better solution? What I want is that after one engine line appears, there will be a little more space at the bottom - it would look much nicer.
