Rybka 3.0 for Windows Vista x64bit

Post by tjfroh »

I think that it would be a smart business decision to write a version of Rybka that would run independant of Chessbase GUIs and be a
replacement or addition to the Windows Chess program included with Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate.

Replies from Vas and others are encouraged.

Rybka is already independant of a GUI. Also I think if Microsoft wanted a stronger chess engine for their Vista Chess program, they would have bought one. Everyone knows when Microsoft can't beat them, they buy them or pull a fast one to undermine them. 8-)

Ted,

I am sure that Vas would sell his program to Microsoft for $1,000,000 to $1,500,000 USD. Vas can always write Rybka 4.

Too much money for a chess program even if it's called Rybka uncle Timbo....

After Taxes, that would be about US $500,000 to $750,000... I don't know, I bet he (VAS) would need time to think about that one! I think we have to give Microsoft time to try to undermine his program 1st. 8-) Before we can have any talk of payment.

PS: I am sure that Rybka is breaking some Microsoft Copyright or Patent.

1,000,000$ for microsoft is the same as 1$ for the average person.

If they do not buy it for that price then it means that they are not interested in buying.
